            Qualifications:

I am committed to South Ogden and with your support we can make a difference.  As a Utah native, a University of Utah graduate and a 28 year resident of South Ogden my priorities include:

·        Improve community safety for our children.  With much support, I worked with UDOT to provide a crosswalk at Highway 89/ 4400 South and also with UDOT to improve the crosswalk at Highway 89/Sunset by providing a right hand turn lane off Highway 89 and enlarging the platform to stand while waiting to cross the Highway.  My current priority is to provide sidewalks for children for safe walking routes to and from school.  The council and I have worked to provide sidewalks to and from the new Burch Creek Elementary.

·        Increase community pride by encouraging the cleaning up of weeds and junk in yards, vacant lots and rentals.

·        Advocate for senior residents so they can afford to stay in the city they helped build.

I fought the decision to sale our 20-year-old Senior Community building.  I feel this was a great loss to our city and a disservice to our seniors.  The building could have been used for many years by the city and the community.  The Parks and Recreation department could of been housed there for very little cost but, now the city is looking at remodeling City Hall for Parks and Recreation and it may end up costing as much for the remodel as the city received  from the sale of the Senior Community Center.

·        Stewardship of our land for both recreation and development.  I was actively involved and petitioned to save our open space when the Golf City property was at stake.

·        Active involvement with city activities such as the Senior Center, South Ogden Days, the 75th anniversary , South Ogden Business Alliance and other South Ogden events allows me to stay in touch with the residents and businesses of South Ogden City.  Connected and involved community leaders and residents are key to maintaining our great city.

·        Active membership in the Safe Kids Coalition, Bonneville Communities that Care (executive committee, youth leader, and community board), Weber State Storytelling Committee, the neighborhood caucus, the Weber Mosquito Abatement Board, the South Ogden Nature Park Committee and the South Ogden Business Alliance and the Utah League of Cities and Towns Legislative Policy Committee.

Community pride, ordinance enforcement,
 road improvements and business development
are also priorities.
I will work to achieve these with fiscal responsibility.  .
